Bugle Notes

William H. Haley, son of William Haley was born near Greenville Tn,
November 1, 1845.
The family came to Metropolis, Massac County before the Civil War.
Though young, Mr. Haley entered the army, November 1, 1862 Co C. 18th
Ill Infantry and served until November 1, 1865.
After the war Mr. Haley married Amanda Hughey, daughter of D.P Hughey
and Lovinia Carson Hughey. To them were born the following children:
Hattie who died young, Leona (Cox), Millie, Ester,William and Charles
and Maude.
The first Mrs Haley died when the children were quite young. William
Haley next marriage was to Josie Andrews and had two children by her,
Elmer and Ethel.
By trade Mr. Haley was a teamster. He was a member of the Christian
Church. he died March 25, 1907.
