Dear List,

I would like to know if anyone on the list has a family tree including
the surname CLIPPENGER. My ggrandmother Barbara Ella Swiler, b. 1851 in
York County, PA was sent to Monmouth, Il as a child to live with her
childless aunt and uncle, David and Ollie (?) Clippenger.

Barbara's parents were David Swiler and Katherine Hale. Therefore,
Ollie Clippenger must have been the sister of one of them. After
leaving their daughter with the Clippengers, the Swiler migrated to
Kansas (early or mid-1850s).

Let me know if you recognize these names.
