I have an Alexander McQueen from the 1790-1870 IL census Index from
ancestry.com.

The information is an follows:

1870 - McQueen, Alexander - Cook County - IL - page 062- Township I W.
Chicago - Type Federal Population Schedule-
Datebase IL 1870 Federal census Index - ID# IL01779284.

Exactly what is this telling me & where do I go from here? I am new to
genealogy and this doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Hope someone can shed some light for me?
