Hello:

This is directed to all subscribers to "NetZero" or those of you who might
consider them as an ISP in the future. NetZero has implemented a policy to
return "STALE MAIL" to the mailing lists it has come from after a six month
build up.

I am the list maintainer for 13 mail lists at RootsWeb and have made a very
hard decision. Due to NetZero's new policy of saving old mail (Stale Mail)
and returning it to sender after six months, I can not allow anyone with
that ISP to remain on any of my lists.

A Rootweb listowner, with 17 lists, took a hit Thursday of having over 1000
emails returned to her in slightly over an hour. Neither her ISP nor
RootsWeb should have to put up with that. Another list maintainer took a
hit of 5000 returns over night a while back. I am sending this to NetZero
also so they can see the solution I have decided upon. I tried to contact
them when this happened but NetZero did not see fit to respond to me. Many
other list maintainers here will also probably follow suit. You can get
free email through www.USA.net , www.hotmail.com , http://mail.yahoo.com/
and many others. You can also go to
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/8015/free.html for a rather
large listing of other free email providers. Sorry for the inconvenience
this may cause you but it is the only viable solution to this problem. You
have 3 days to get a new mail provider. November 1st you will be
unsubscribed.
