Pat,
Mary Ann SADLER had a brother named John SADLER, b. Sept 15, 1828 but, that
is all I know about him. Nothing about where he was born. All the names of
her brothers and sisters were found in her Bible by David Porter KEEFER, her
husband. I have the actual paper upon which this is written. I got it along
with many letters bewten David and his brother William Long KEEFER of Venango
Co. PA. William owned a large Woolen Mill there and David was also in the
manufacturing business.
My KEEFERs migrated to IL. then on to Idaho where they raised their families
and both died and are buried, up in Owyhee County. But there is another large
KEEFER family that were here in IL. There are several variations of the
spelling for the KEEFER/KIEFER name. And yes many of those did have TX ties.
