Does anyone know what RR went thru O'Fallon, St. Clair Co, IL in the 1880s? My g-grandfather, LOUIS SMITH, was killed at Turner Junction, WI, while working on the RR, coupling some cars. I can't find his parents' names, as the only thing I've found was that he was raised by his grandfather, SAMUEL G. SMITH, SR, who was b about 1810 DE. Louis "Lou" b 1866 Alma [Carbondale], Jackson, IL. Marr Dec 1887 SALINA OWENS b 1871 O'Fallon, IL d 1947 O'Fallon, IL.
