Would it be too great an imposition to ask for you to look on your 1880
census cd for all of Illinois for Reuben Walter BUCKLES (also spelled
BUCKELS) (B242)? This would be my grandfather. He was born on 9/12/1874 in
DeSoto, Jackson County, IL. I know nothing about Reuben's family except on
his death certificate, his father's name is listed as John Buckles, with the
date and place of birth unknown. His mother is listed as unknown. However,
according to the 1900 and 1910 DeSoto, Jackson County censuses, Reuben show
his parents were born in Kentucky and Illinois. There is also an indication
that Reuben had a brother named William, who, according to family lore, took
off for California, date and exact destination in the Golden State being
explored at present since I live in California. And, one of the family
remembers a brother John Buckles who lived in De Soto as well.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I checked the 1880 census cd for all of Illinois,no Albert Curnell.
It did have one Albert W.Cornell who was 12 yrs.,which I am pasting
below.Hope this helps.
