Hello!
I am from Decatur, IL and can't recall the paper that you are talking about.
Could this person have been from Mt. Vernon, IL origanlly and it be printed
in the Mt. Vernon Register News in Mt. Vernon, IL? At times they will have
the persons obit printed in other papers where they resided too.
The active paper today is the Decatur Herald and Review there was years ago
the Republican, The Review and the Herald
There could have been more than that even. The Decatur Lib. or Genealogical
Society will be able to help you out and let you know how to contact this
paper.
