boy are you in luck. i'm part of that mcdaniel family of illinois! james is my great great great great grandfather. i don't have much but i can help you a little. martha and james had 11 children. william, mary "polly"(b.abt 1817), susan(b.1820), charles(abt 1821), george(abt.1825), nancy(1827), martha(1834), amanda christine(13 APR 1836), calvin musgrove(15 FEB 1840), catherine(1841), adeline( 28 MAY 1842). i don't have death dates for any of the children. all of the children were born in crawford county illinois except for nancy who was born in kentucky and i can't find where martha was born. martha was the first of two wives the second being NANCY HISKEY SHEARER who bore james 2 children alvin( 2 JUN 1847) and james(7 FEB 1848). both children were born in palestine illinois. nancys first husband was ____ shearer and they had 1 child george w in 1840. james was born in kentucky in 1797 and died between 1870 and 1880 possibly in crawford county illinois. martha a!
nd james were married 13 DEC 1815 in Edwards county illinois. james was married to nancy 21 JUL 1845 in crawford county illinois. well thats about where i'm stuck at. i hope this helps you a little:)
