I would start looking in Clinton county. Silver creek flows through there
and
there are several families with German ancestory in the area.
I live in neighboring Marion co and many of the "old communities" have
disappeared even during my lifetime but I would guess that some of the
people on the Clinton county list could give you some good clues.
