I tried a while ago, but not with much luck -- trying again.

My great grandmother was Grace Esther RYERSON.
She was adopted by Tunis RYERSON (1828 NJ-1871 Elgin ILL) and Rose ANDERSON (1834 Quebec - 1904 Bloomington ILL). She married Samuel Edward DAVIS in 1887 Chicago.

Tunis and Rose owned the Muskegon Booming Company in Michigan. They lived in Michigan until around 1870, then Illinois. Tunis died in 1871, and Rose remarried to Robert H FORRESTER in 1873 Van Buren, Michigan. In 1880 Chicago Census, Grace was living in the home of Robert Forrester with Rose. The Census lists her birth as 1868 Illinois with parents from Scotland.

Does anyone know where (and if) it will be possible for me to find information on the biological parents? Grace's marriage license didn't have the info.
