Hi Kaye,
We're home from our trip to NE Illinois and Will County. We visited the
libraries in Coal City (just across the border in Grundy County), Peotone
and Beecher, and really didn't find anything on my Rieckmann family, but
that's partly because they were there just a short time, about 10 years,
and it was before births, etc., were registered. We stopped at only one
church, but didn't look at the records, because we had written to them
several years and got all the info they had on my family -- we didn't
even see anybody there.
Both the Coal City and Peotone libraries have some church and cemetery
records so they might have what you are looking for.
