Do you know when they married? Where were the children born? There's a
Charles Lytle living as a boarder in the 1920 census in Cook County, Illinois.
You'd only be able to go to 1930 as far as these records are concerned.

There's an entry at familysearch.com for him, entered after 1991 by a member
of the Church but no source is given, unfortunately. This is the entry:

Charles E. Lytle, born 1915 in Lawrence, Illinois

Father: Charles E. Lytle
Mother: Cora L. Williams

married: Doris Simons (born 1918) on 21 January, 1936 in Vincennes, Indiana
