Joyce LInk in Mo

This is what I have thus far entered into the computer. I am sending them now because I am going to be gone for 3 weeks to Fayetterville TN & Raleigh, NC and hated to leave response for that many weeks. E-mail and let me know where you live in MO. A cousin of mine on the Mifflin line, Mary Afton Anderson helped me sort out some of the Hall lines of Saline Co. Jonathan, Zachariah and Henry Hall were all probably related but I do not have the connection.

I will have to send the rest of info on the other children after I return. Judie Swann Boone

Descendants of Jonathan Hall

Generation No. 1

1. JONATHAN1 HALL was born 04/04/1787 in NC, and died 03/24/1864 in Saline Co., IL. He married SARAH ?. She was born Abt. 1792 in NC, and died Aft. 1864.

Burial: Wolf Creek Cem. Saline Co., IL

Notes: Jan 30, 1978

Jonathan Hall resided in NC, Tennessee and Gallatin Co (Saline Co) Illinois

1850 and 1860 Census records state that Jonathan & Sarah Hall were both born in North Carolina. They were married in NC and some of their children were born there. Later they were in TN where as some of the children list TN as their place of birth. The family appear to have been in Gallatin Co, IL prior to 1830, as John Hall states he was born in IL aboutr 1829 and Jonathan is listed in the Federal Census of
Gallatin Co., IL

1830 Fedl Census (Saline Co included in Gallatin till 1847)

60. Jonathan Hall

This may or may not be our Jonathan Hall that came to Gallatin County, IL, but it certainly worth checking. Our Jonathan Hall of Gallatin Co., IL was of the right age to have been in the War of 1812-14. Further check of TN need to be done for Jonathan Hall.

Jonathan Hall is buried in Wolf Creek Cemetery but do not have picture of head stone at this time. Record of Wolf Creek Cemetery lists his
death as 1864. The is consistent with Census records and this date.
Jonathan Hall born April 4, 1787 and died March 24, 1864. (age 76 years 11 months and 20 days)

Maiden name of wife, Sarah, is not known this time. Sometimes the older families named first son after the wife's father, the last name or the given name. It is possible that Sarah's maiden name was Willis or even Anderson, the name of second son.

No record of Sarah is found after the deed made in May 1864. If she is buried next to Jonathan there is not sign of a stone now.
No record of a probate record for Jonathan Hall in Saline County or even an inventory of his personal property. Do not understand why this
would not exist.

Names of children is based on following deed.
