I have two family groups in Illinois, the LONGWELL's being in KNOX
County....later marrying with these SCHUYLER county people below....but I
don't know which county they met in, since I find no evidence of either side
moving until after the IOWA marriage in 1896....

INGRAM -- Uriah, b abt 1814 KY, moved to this county about 1850 or so with
his wife Lavina THOROUGHMAN (THURMAN?) and several children. Later married
Permelia BOX and had many more kids. In 1884, he was living in Brooklyn Twp.
when he married her sister, Susan. (had no more children). Looking for any
descendants. His daughter with Permelia, (Louisa) Etta "May" INGRAM married
Thomas LONGWELL in 1896 in Washington County Iowa, then probably moved to
Knox Co IL. She gave birth to a son in 1898, my grandfather, but there is no
trace of his birth -- he was killled in Davenport IA 1921 in a rock crusher
at Linwood Quarry at age 23, leaving a 19 yr old widow and 18 month old son.
His death cert says "McComb" but we have found nothing to support this. His
birth place is still unknown.
There should be LOTS Of INGRAM descendants, but I just can't find them.

WILLIAMS -- Elizabeth, who was born in Hancock Co, IL near the Mississippi
where her father Peter farmed. The family later moved to Madison County
Iowa. Somehow, Elizabeth ends up in Schuyler, and marries KY born John BOX.
She died in Quincy in 1901 and is buried in Schuyler, LIttleton, Thompson
Cemetary.

WAGGONER -- Hancock County IL pioneers. The mother of Elizabeth, above,
was Rebekah WAGGONER of Ohio (Dau of Jacob), who married Peter WILLIAMS.
Rebekah died in "The Winter of the Deep Snow". (1830's?) and is buried on a
bluff over looking the MIssissippi, near what is now Nauvoo.

BOX --- John, Died 1900 in Schuyler Littleton, IL. Had a farm not far from
Thompson Cemetery. Born in KY. Raised Jasper INGRAM, his grandson who was
born about 1883 in Schuyler Co.. His two daughters, Permelia d 1884, and
Susan BOX McHaley, both were married Uriah INGRAM b 1814.
