Tami, one other thing I found...in the January 1999 issue of Shelby County
Ancesters there is a copy of "Shelby County Farmers' Directory"...it
doesn't say what year this was. But there are listings as follows:
Barnhart, J. D. (Lucie Jackson) Ch Lois, Roy, Marguerite, *Elmer; Windsor R
2 Windsor Sec25 O40a (1865) Tel. Windsor
Barnhart, Elmer (Irma Smyser) Windsor, R3 Windsor Sec27 T107a J. D. Barnhart
(1890) Tel. Windsor
So, there was an Elmer Barnart and his wife's name was Irma Smyser.
