Have just posted the following updates to the Tazewell County Genealogical

- Holiday Shopping Coupons

Still not too late to do some online shopping. Amazon has sent me five

- Photo of the Month

December's photos are of Pekin's Mineral Springs Park. Since 1902, the
park has been one of the treasures of Tazewell County - enjoyed by
residents and visitors alike. There is a 1912 vista of ice-skating on the
lagoon in front of the park pavilion, as well as a modern Christmas
nighttime scene.

- January Meeting - 7 p.m. January 11 - Society Library

Dr. Allan Harn, assistant curator of Dickson Mounds Museum, will present
"Highlights of Eight Decades of Illinois Valley Archaeology". Dickson
Mounds Museum, located in west-central Illinois near Lewistown, is a
branch of the Illinois State Museum and a National Historic Site. It is
considered one of the major on-site archaeological museums in the United
States, offering a unique opportunity to explore the world of the American
Indian through 12,000 years of human experience in the Illinois River
Valley. This should be a presentation you don't want to miss!
