Dear Friends:
It's with a sad heart that I must place the Whiteside County ILGenWeb page up for adoption. As most of you have probably heard by now, the County Coordinator for the Whiteside County ILGenWeb site passed from this mortal life on June 26. Bob Mosher was a terrific County Coordinator for ILGenWeb and a tremendous repository of the history of both Carroll and Whiteside County whose shoes will be most difficult to fill. We were very fortunate to have had his company over the last several years and I doubt that there are few people on this list that he did not help at one point or another. Although we have lost a friend and mentor in our searches, we have not lost his work. Bob placed so much of his knowledge on his county sites, and gave it freely to everyone who asked, that we can be secure in knowing that his work will go on with each of us in our own way.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in taking on the task of continuing Bob's work and taking on the duties of the Whiteside County coordinator, please contact me at the address below. If I do not get back with you immediately, please bear with me, as I'll be going to and from Boy Scout camp over the next ten days or so, and may be out of email contact for the majority of that time.
Sincerely:
Scott Burow
Regional Coordinator
