Hello Julie, I am passing on a e-mail to you from Beverly Webster through the message board because your e-mail address does not work. We would love to hear from you.
Hi Julie & Debra,
My connection to your family is through Johanna Wilhelmina Janssen. I
don't know much about Andrew. I do have a death certificate on him but
that's about all. My great grandmother, Augusta, was one of Johanna's
sisters. I am putting together the family of Johanna and when done will
work on the family of the other sister, Henrietta. I am doing this
mainly for a "cousin" in Germany. He has given us all of the history of
these ladies which I will gladly share with you. Time is my biggest
problem, there isn't much of it!! So, things move slowly. Debra is
waiting for my paper copies now, I hope patiently! They will come, just
can't say when.
Julie, if you will tell me how you are connected to this family I may
have some help for you.
I have not found an 1870 census for Andrew but I do have one for
Johanna. They are not living together at that date.
Andrew and Johanna were married after the 1870 census (taken about 9
Dec) in Philadelphia. Because there weren't any official records at
that time, we may never know exactly when. If you are subscribed to
Ancestry, look in 1870, PA, under William Zinke. It should be on page
162.
