I am looking for my gggrandfathers final resting place. I have his military records and it reads. William Hall Private Co.K 80th Ind Vols, cause of death: Congestive chill; date of death & burial 4 Nov 1862, died in Military Hospital, New Albany, Ind. at bottom of page it says( This copy of Record is to be transmitted to the Adjutant General at Washington immediately immediately after the place of burial & the numbetr of the grave have been ascertained & registered. The above notification is to remain attached.) The only number I find is a No. 7 which was written in pencil on the outside of the packet the papers were in. Would this be the grave number? I would be very grateful to Dee for a picture if this is the right number. Thanks for your help, Carolyn

Hello
I live fairly close to the New Albany National Cemetery and go quite often.
I'm currently working on photographing all of the tombstones. If there is a
specific one you would like a photo of just let me know and I'll do what I
can to get it to you.
