Am new to the list and was hoping someone could help. First, is Lafayette in Allen County?

I am searching for information on the ancestors of Seelig POTTLITZER who died in Ft. Wayne on Dec 7 1899. His obit says his children were Mrs. Henrietta Diamond (my great grandmother) Leo, Herman, Julius and Max, sons who lived in Lafayette and son, Isadore from Ft. Wayne. Have information I will share on Henrietta and Adolph Diamond and family.
