Dale,
The eldest daughters of Denman and Amelia Ann (Johnson) HIGHLAND, Nancy and
Mary (Polly), married the brothers John Hathaway CLEMENTS and Philip Andrew
Clements, respectively. According to group sheets given to me, Nancy's
daughter "Ameliann" married Samuel H. COOMBS, in 1835 in Putnam Co. Indiana, as you
have it. The sheet does not give her death date.

It is my understanding that the above Highland / Clements couples were in
Boone County sometime in the 1830's. Nancy Highland was buried in the Pratt
Cemetery in Boone County.
