One of my ancestors was Jacob R. Bruner, b. 22 Nov. 1850, Brown Co. IN,
married Elizabeth Ann Morrison in 1874. She was the dau. of John &
Phoebe Ann (Poling) Morrison of Ohio. She went to Brown Co. where she
married Bruner. They lived at Needmore, Brown Co., then Belmont, IN
where they operated a store that later burned down. Elizabeth was placed
in an institution because she wouldn't accept her children. Different
ones of the Bruners and Joe Poling (married Mary Alice Bruner--sister of
Jacob Bruner) took the Bruner kids to raise. Eliz. Morrison Bruner died
14 Dec. 1920 somewhere in IN--I believe in Indianapolis. Jacob and
Elizabeth's children were Emma Alice, Henry, and Arlington.
