The Logansport Journal – 9 July 1911: CAREY, DUNKLE, SNETHEN
Word has ben received in the city announcing the death of Robert M Carey at his late home in Fort Shaw, Mont. The deceased was a former resident of this city and was on The Journal reportorial staff for a time, going from here to the San Antonio Gazette. His mother died a few years ago. The body is expected to arrive here on Sunday or Monday, accompanied by the deceased’s sister, Miss Edna Carey, who is engaged as teacher in the public schools in Montana. The body will be interred at Star City beside that of his mother.

William Dunkle, of 930 Erie Avenue, received a telegram yesterday morning announcing the death of his nephew, Keith McAlipne at his home in Flint, Mich. Deceased was a former resident of this city and was engaged with the firm of Elpers a& Miller for some time. Deceased was about 28 years of age and was in the electrical supply business. Mr & Mrs. Will Dunkle will attend the funeral which will be held today at the above place.

The funeral of Ezekiel Snethen whose death occurred Friday, will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the residence of his daughter. Mrs. R F Rankin, Thirteenth Street. Deceased was a pioneer resident, coming from Dayton, O. to this city when 9 years of age. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George Gangloff, and Mrs. Rankin of this city, and Mrs. J W Snethen of Pontiac, Ill. Also a brother in Pontiac and a sister in Minnesota.
