Hi -

Looking for someone who is interested in the Lewallen (various spellings)
family which came from Monongalia Co in VA (now WVa).

I have a Samuel Lewallen> Samuel R Lewallen > Elisha E Lewallen. I am trying
to validate whether the connection - Samuel R > Elisha E is a valid.

It appears that Samuel R arrived in Washington Co, KY prior to 1820. At
least in 1824 he married Jeruslina Adams in Washington Co, KY. Very soon
thereafter, they appear to be in Clark Co, IN where it appears that Elisha
was born ca 1825. In the 1830 US Census, Samuel R is in Fountain Co, IN and
in the 1840s he and Elisha are in Washington Co, KY. In Oct 1848, Elisha E
married Permelia Shannon.

I am hopeful that someone will recognize this line.
