My John M. Riggs was born in 1841(abt.) in Campbell Co, TN.
He married Mary Cates in Campbell Co, TN Aug 23, 1854.
John M. moved to Ky for a short time( not sure where) and then to Clay Co, IN by 1870. He died in 1891 in Staunton, Clay Co, IN.
I have no idea who John's parents were.

When researching the Clay Co Lines, I found the following to also have Campbell Co, TN connections----
So I am betting that they are related to my John Riggs in some way.
Prior to their arrival, their were no Riggs in Clay Co, IN.
William Riggs/ Caroline Taylor were married in Campbell Co, TN, but their children migrated to IN:
1. John Thomas Riggs/ married to Cynthia Ellen Murray:
had a son, JAMES FRANKLIN RIGGS that ended up in IN and died in Vigo Co, and John's other children were also born in IN.
2. James Frank Riggs/ married a Cora- James was born in Campbell Co, TN and died in Clay Co, IN

Any connectons, folks??
