Obituary of Lewis Benson Hewett published in the Terre Haute Tribune, Sunday, 16 Dec 1956, page 20:

SALINE CITY, Ind., Dec 15 - Lewis Benson Hewett, 90, died Saturday morning at 2 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Hickman, 4329 North Fourteenth street, Terre Haute. Surviving also are one son, Portney Hewett, Terre Haute; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Liddle, Brazil; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Rentschler Funeral Home in Centerpoint where friends may call after 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon and from where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. John H. Chasteen officiating. Burial will be in Grimes cemetery.
