There were many from Crawford County who also formed the 38th Indiana which
is the outfit my GGpa John Yates, 1825 died while serving in..also my
wife's Great Uncle, George Carroll, served in the 38th and died from wounds
received at the Battle of Perryville, Ky. He was from Orange Co. Jim Yates
