May be of interest to the list.

My ancestors moved from Crawford county, Indiana to Marion county, Iowa
around 1846. John Schlotterback & Elizabeth Hartman were originally from
PA. They and 3 children migrated and 3 children stayed in Crawford/Harrison
county, IN.

Bev and list,

I found it interesting that you ancestors moved from Crawford County,
Indiana to
Marion County, Iowa. Mine did the same. Unfortunately I don't see any
similarities in the surnames but will post my information to see if you do.
I
suppose it was just due to the fact that the land was opening up to the
west.

In Crawford County, Indiana, my line starts with William AGAN who m. Mary
WEATHERS
in Crawford County on July 23, 1838. William and Mary had 8 children, one
of whom
was named Anna Eliza (or Eliza Ann or Annie Eliza depending on the source).
Anna
was b. May 22, 1855 in Knoxville, Marion County, IA. She married Joseph
MAYBERRY
on May 23, 1878. They lived in both Mills County, IA and Burt County, NE.

If anyone sees anything here that looks familiar, I would love to hear from
you!

Ken Mayberry
