Does anybody out there know where we might could find the records or photo plates of an old photographer from the Washington area? My aunt has a photo that was taken in the late 1800's. It is of my great grandmother, who was born September 12, 1883 and she looks to be around her late teen years to early twenties. So, I'm figuring around the turn of the century. I think that either the photographer or the company was named Bridgette (not sure, hard to read) but it says Washington Ind. on the front of the picture. When we went to the Daviess County Museum, we saw another photo by this same company or photographer. But there was no other information on it either. Can anybody help? My aunt doesn't trust that one of the Kodak picture makers would help us. She had a bad experience once, and won't trust another one. (Someone had just cleaned the glass on the machine. But they didn't wipe off the solution, and she put her picture on it and it got ruined.) We tried to ta!
ke pictures of her pictures, but it didn't work very good. Anybody have any clues that we could find this photographer or company records?
