The Daviess County Democrat, Washington, Indiana, June 29, 1878, page 4:

"INTERMENTS

The following is a list of interments in the county, during the week, taken from the books of the undertakers in this city:

Reported by Wm. Foster, Undertaker
James MORAN, aged 23 yrs; quick consumption.

Reported by Bonham & Gill, Undertakers
Martha J. MONTGOMERY, aged 48 yrs.
George POTTER, aged 18 yrs."

In the same newspaper is an announcement of the death of Mrs. Martha Jane MONTGOMERY, wife of James C. MONTGOMERY, on Sunday, June 23, 1878 at Montgomery Station.
