“MRS. LILLIE B. M’GEHEE TAKEN BY DEATH, SUN. RITES THIS AFTERNOON FOR HARRISON TWP. RESIDENT.

Services for Mrs. Lillie B. McGEHEE, 76, widow, of Harrison township, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Veale Creek Baptist church, with interment following in the adjoining cemetery.

Rev. Wm. R. Seat conducted Ritualistic services, with James A. Gill & Sons having charge of the funeral. The body was at Gill’s Funeral Chapel until the hour of the funeral.

Born on January 15, 1862 in Harrison township, the deceased was a daughter of Stephen and Sarah (EDWARDS) STEVENSON, and spent all her life in the community being well and favorable known. She was married 40 years ago to John B. McGEHEE, who preceded her in death.

Death of Mrs. McGEHEE came Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. George BERRY, in Harrison township and was attributed to a complication of asthma and heart disease. She had been ailing for two years and serious for the past week.

The deceased was a member of the Trinity Baptist church.

Surviving Mrs. McGEHEE are a brother and sister, Mrs. George BERRY, with whom she lived, and John STEVENSON, also of Harrison township.

Pallbearers at the funeral this afternoon were Frank McGEHEE, Tom AUBERRY, Arthur CLARK, John BRITTAIN, Nathan GREGORY, Eph GREGORY and Austin ARTHUR.”
