"BOGARD RESIDENT DIES MONDAY.
JOHN KINDRED, BOGARD RESIDENT PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY AT AGE OF 74 YEARS.
John D. KINDRED, seventy-four years old, died at his home in Bogard township last Monday night, passing away quickly from an attack of heart trouble.
Coroner E. E. Eifert was called to hold an investigation into the aged man's death.
Mr. KINDRED was born April 6, 1853 in Ohio, the son of George and Jane (MARTIN) KINDRED.
November 4, 1916 his first wife, Lavina ISENOGLE, died. In September of the following year he married Savannah FERGUSON (DJD note: FULKERSON, nee GOUGH), who survives.
Six children born to the first union survive Mr. KINDRED. One brother also survives.
The children are Mrs. Willard BRUNSON of Elnora; Mrs. Hayden RANEY and Mrs. Eleanor HARDY of Washington; and Carl, James and George KINDRED of Indianapolis, Harley KINDRED of Washington is the surviving brother.
Mr. KINDRED, who was a farmer and trapped during the winter, is reported to have "run" his trap line Monday night, went home for supper and then retired for the night. Shortly afterward he was taken suddenly ill. Mrs. KINDRED went to the home of a neighbor for help and when she returned her husband had died."
