"AVEN PLUMMER DIES FRIDAY.
WELL KNOWN YOUNG MAN PASSES ON AT AGE OF 32 YEARS.
Aven E. PLUMMER, well known throughout the community, died at the home of Curtis YORK last Friday evening after an extended illness.
The young man was a son of William A. and Nancy PLUMMER and was born in this community August 17, 1895, being past thirty-two years of age at the time of his death. He grew up to manhood in this community and enlisted for service in the World War September 6, 1918. He received his discharge April 17, 1919 completing a splendid record of service.
His health failed rapidly and for the past three years he has made his home with Curtis YORK at which place he died.
He is survived by one half-brother. He was converted in the United Brethren church at Union. He was genial and kindly in disposition and had a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday morning at Mt. Olive with Rev. Battram of this city in charge. The Odon Post American Legion had charge of the obsequies. Burial was made in the Mt. Olive cemetery."
