Yes, the Steele family is related to both the Goodpaster and another family. Goodpasters from Aurora and the other family related in another generation to the Goodpasters thru the Struckman family who married into the Konkle and McMakin lines from Switzerland Co near Vevay(Konkle and McMakin). The Struckman lines came from Ripley Co of Old Milan. Frank Struckman m. Florence Goodpaster (of Aurora) dau. of Frank(lin)Jr Goodpaster and Jane(Jenny) Goodpaster about 1914 in Dearborn Co. Frank and Florence's youngest son Louis Struckman m. Leona Konkle, dau. of Beatrice McMakin and David Konkle. The Steele side comes in on either the McMakin or Konkle side on that end. A Fred Steele did live in Dearborn Co during the 1950-1970s near Chesterville. We were told by dad (Louis Struckman) we were related.
