Dawn: You posted this death notice back in the year 2000. Was this Stephen H. Livingston the Stephen who married Elizabeth and had children Stephen, Susan and George ?? The Stephen who was living in Wilmington in the 1850 and 1860 census and who's widow was living there in the 1880 census with daughter Susan ??
I think this Stephen may be the Stephen who was one of the sons of my ggg grandfather George Livingston Jr. of Worcester Co., MD and wife Susannah Ennis. George's son is the only Stephen of Worcester Co. of that era we do not account for. George Jr.'s death notice in 1849 asked 'Wilmington, IN newspapers' to 'please copy' and his wife's 1848 death notice asked 'Indiana newspapers' to 'please copy'. Stephen of Wilmington's census entries stated he was born in 'Maryland'. George Jr.'s daughter Elizabeth Ann Livingston also moved from Worcester Co., MD to Dearborn and Ripley Cos., IN with her husband William Noble Shockley.
If this is my George Jr.'s son, then he would be my gg granduncle. Do you know anything about him or his family ??
Any info greatly appreciated.
Joe
