Subject: [INDEARBO] MARBLE and pre 1840 Dearborn records availability
Date: Mon, 9 Feb 2004 09:59:57 -0600
Hello List Members,
This is my first post to this list.
My five-times great grandfather, Nathan Marble & wife, Christian (BISHOP) Marble moved from German Twp, Fayette County, PA to Rising Sun, Dearborn, IN sometime between 1823 - 1830. I know this because the 1830 census has Nathan listed in Randolph Twp with his sons, Nathan Jr, Calvin, and David and their families.
Nathan wrote his will in 1833; it was recorded in 1835. I think his wife,Christian, died around 1840.
What I am hoping to discover is tax records that can tell me when Nathan and family moved to Dearborn County; church records for my Marbles; newspaper records for any pertinent item regarding my Marble ancestors.
Can anyone tell me if any of the above records (or others I didn't think of) are in existence for circa 1823-1840 Dearborn County?
Thank you for any leads you all may provide.
