In the MASON COUNTY, KENTUCKY MARRIAGE BONDS & PERMISSIVE NOTES VOL 2 1806-1817 pg 73, John NORRIS married Elizabeth DOWDEN on 29 March 1814; the bondsman was John Dowden. In BOONE COUNTY, KENTUCKY CEMETERIES by Stephen W. Worrel, M.A. & Anne W, Fitzgerald, B.S., John NORRIS died 5 Jan 1879 in the 88th year of his life; Elizabeth, wife of John Norris, died 3 Apr 1839 in the 48th year of her age. Thus, both were born prob 1791.
John NORRIS and Amelia BRASHER married 11 May 1840, LD, by Wm. P. Stratton, b G.W. Brasher, B-36 (BOONE COUNTY, KENTUCKY MARRIAGES 1798-1850 BY Stephen W. Worrel & Anne W. Fitzgerald, B.A.)
Martha Jane, d of John and Elizabeth NORRIS, was b 7 Sep 1825 married Perry McNeely who was born 9 May 1818 in Hardentown, Dearborn Co, IN. (THE NORRIS FAMILY). The marriage occurred 2 July 1840 and performed by Wm.P. Stratton, bondsman Newton Norris, c by John Norris {relationship not stated}. B-36
My husband's mother, Juanita McNeely COLLIER, was d of Harvey Parker McNeely, 3rd son of Perry and Martha Jane.
