I am researching the Mary Lewis Simmons line. I know that her mother m. a Johnson and had 2 additional daughters. I assume that was after the death of Mary Lewis Simmons father(name unknown). Daughters were Harriet Johnson Dixon & Nora Johnson Richardson. Harriet migrated to Jennings Co. IN along with her older sister Mary Simmons and I find a Thomas French, age 15, living in Harriet's house in the 1850 Jennings Co IN. census. I have also seen that Mary Lewis Simmons and her brother George Lewis listed their place of birth as N.Y. Suspect this is Schenectady.
