Does anyone have any information on Sanford/Sandford Briddle, b. 1835, in Indiana? He is listed in the Veterans schedule of 1890 in Louisiana with an Elijah Briddell. They are also listed in the 1880 Louisiana census. Elijah was born in Maryland in about 1827 with parents from Maryland. Sanford was born in Indiana with parents from Indiana. Both are coopers and both are living with a
Adolph Hefflemann(?) who is 30 and a cooper also.
Both Sanford and Elijah Briddell served with the Indiana Infantry during the "war of the rebellion." Sandford served from 1861 to 1864.
Sandford was married to Sarah E. Griffith, born in Indiana, probably Clark County.
If anyone has run across these people, please let me know. I cannot find any information on them anywhere.
