I am looking for the parents of Mary Jane Elder who married Eliphalet Eggleston II in Elkhart County, 3-11-1841. They lived on a farm and raised their family in Decatur County until 1865, when Eli died. Mary Jane moved first to Jasper County, IL, then to Richland County, Olney, IL.

I know that Mary Jane was born in Kentucky 7-11-1821/22. She was buried in Clemons, IA. She died 7-16-1888. She was my GG Grandmother.

I think that her father may have been James Elder who lived in Decatur County around that time, but I've not been able to verify that.

Any information would be appreciated.
