Hi Merna,
Yes it does look like there are oarrallels indeed! James and a John turn up
in Decatur Co. In. abt the same time, 1830. One of these gentlemens was the
father of my Robert, don't know which one yet. John was 40-50 and James was
30-40 in 1830. Both old enough, and they both had males the right age to be
Robert. Robert was born about 1820 in Ohio. Lore is this James came from
Butler Co. Ohio to Decatur Co. about 1821. No one seems to know anything
about John. He has to be related to James though, they turn up about the
same time frame.
You might have opened a whole new door to me. I will be looking in the
Cumberland Co. Pa. area for my Armstrongs. Please if you know anything else
let me know. My Arstrongs have been a brick wall so longggggggg.!!!
