Ooops.... was typing too fast

Found David with Wife in Bartholomew County census 1860, 1870, 1880

Did David have brothers named Isaac and Samuel? If so, I found those three sons with Samuel and Elizabeth Shirk and daughter Rebecca in the 1850 Franklin County Census for Indiana. Shows Samuel born in Georgia, Elizabeth in Kentucky and all children born in Indiana. I also found a marriage for David Shirk and Sarah J Hill in Franklin County on February 2, 1860. There are other SHirk marriage listed also for Rebecca, Isaac and Samuel S. I found all these on Ancestry.com. There are also several trees submitted on this line.

Hope this helps,

Susan

I am looking for proof that Samuel Shirk and wife Elizabeth Stout Shirk are the parents of my gr-great-grandfather, David Crockett Shirk (1834-1919). Any information about the Shirk family is of interest. Thanks for any help. Linda Davis
