Hello Everyone,

I've been trying to find records for my elusive ggg grandfather for
years. He died somewhere around 1873 or 1875. Where do I look for
probate records? Are they at the courthouse in Auburn? Do the people at
the courthouse look anything up for people? I live in Michigan and can't
get down but once a year for research.
My next question is, is there an index or something that I can look in
to find if Robert McNabb is in the probate records? I think that he died
in Butler at the home of his son, Daniel Thomas McNabb.
