I am researching a possible connection with your Jonathan Lewis and my William Lewis b. 6/1/1797 in Westmoreland County. William and his family moved East to Jackson county, Ohio between 1823 and 1830. His parents are unknown and must have been living in Westmoreland/Indiana County, PA sometime before 1797. Johnathon Lewis is found on the 1790 census for Westmoreland county and appears to be the likely father. If you have any Carroll County, OH Lewis information, I am sure that we can piece things together.
