In 1990, a group of maharajas led by raja of kurundwad
junior petitioned the supreme court for restoration of
privy purses claiming the 1971 action illegal.
however, nothing came out of it. i think too much
water has flown down the river. I dont think even the
descendants are interested anymore.
there is a precident though, i believe indonesian
royalty has been restored after fall of suharto. same
has heppened with ugandan royalty.
