Pakistan's promises were not worth the paper they were made on. Have we
forgotten so easily the ethnic cleansing of Hindus and Sikhs in that country
? It has been estimated that over 500,000 non-Muslims were brutally
massacred. What to speak of non-Muslims, the Bengali Muslims were not spared
either.
Pakistani offers to the Princes were only meant to Balkanise India and
render it weak. This is the verdict of history.
