Thanks for the line sorry couldn't get back 2 u yesterday.
 
Current Rajmata sahib of Jaipur - Gayatri Devi or Aiysha as was her original name of the Cooch Bihar family was married to the late Swai Maharaja Man Singh II of Jaipur.
 
Swai Maharaja Man Singh II is an adopted son he was orginally born a shepherd Morpat Singh.
 
Gayatri Devi was in Parliament as one of the founder members of the Swatanra Party and she and Mrs. Indira Gandhi - two well breed ladies from big families used to oppose each other.
 
But Mrs. Gandhi had - to the best of my knowledge - never stood for elections - Parliamentary - from where Gayatri Devi was contesting and the two ladies - with many things in common and similarities in their up bringing and childhood have been pitched against each other on various other occasions but never contested an election / Parliamentary seat against each other.
