Dear All,
I am putting my observations on the topic, which has been circulation for
some days.
1. Rajamata Gayatri Devi was elected to the third Lok Sabha from Jaipur
constituency on Swantra Party ticket.
2. It was not only Rajmata Gayatri Devi that Mrs. Indira Gandhi was envious
of, she was also envious of Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia, a lady of enormous
dignity an grace.
3. It was just to enjoy that sadistic pleasure, which all despotic rulers as
Mrs Indira Gandhi get too find of, that she had both the Rajmata's
incarcerated. But that did not satisfy her enough, so she saw to it that
both of them had the company of most uncouth, flimsy and women of worst
behavior in Tihar Jail.
4. The respite to Rajmata Scindia came when she was shifted to Pachmarhi
(M.P). She was taken there and taken care by a M.P. Police cadre officer,
who incidentally, was related to another Royal family of M.P. He out of this
affiliation created a comfort zone for her there. Rajmata Gayatri Devi has
to suffer more before a similar zone got created for her, that too out of
adoration, and nothing else.
5. Amethi was NEWER he constituency of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. It was always Rai
Bareli and Chikmangloor after she got defeated in 1977.
6. It is indeed an insult to the grace & dignity of the two Rajmata's to
compare them with Mrs. I Gandhi, who institutionalised corruption in India
society and polity; who deceived the Constitution, creators of our
constitution, the Princes and the people, all by abolishing the privy purses
and titles. It was a constitutional pledge from which Mrs I. Gandhi made the
country back out, thus opening the realm of morality and pledges to debates
and interpretations!
If the politicians, that are elected by people, can back out of a
constitutional promise is a set standard, then what compunctions do the
people have from not doing so in their day to day life? No wonder we now
have a population that tell lies on oath, miniscule aberrations can be
overlooked!
Best Wishes!
SHYAM Malick
