her adopted son, Damodar Rao

Seth Bhama Shah was a contemporary of Maharana Pratap and Maharana Amar Singh of Mewar. He died in 1600AD. He was Prime Minister of the State at the time of his death.

After his death, his son Seth Jeeva Shah was appointed to the post. Maharana Karan Singh appointed his son Akshay Raj as Prime Minister. This way, three generations of Bhama Shah served the State as Premier.

Though his descendants continued to live in Mewar, no famous personality happened thereafter. However they were considered the noble trading family vide an Order of Maharana in 1856 AD in favor of Jaichand Kawadia (one of the descendants) and thereafter by Maharana Fateh Singh in 1895 AD.
